Maxstream's XBee™ Series 2 ZigBee OEM RF Module satisfies the unique needs of low-cost, low-power wireless mesh sensor networks. The modules are easy-to-use, require minimal power and provide reliable delivery of critical data between devices. Its small form factor saves valuable board space.

XBee Series 2 is based on ZigBee/802.15.4 silicon from Ember™. It features ZigBee firmware for creating ad-hoc mesh networks. The XBee Series 2 performs automatic route discoveries to create a self-healing network of full-function routers and low-power end devices.

No configuration is necessary for out-of-box RF communications. The module’s default configuration supports a wide range of data system applications. Advanced configurations can be implemented using simple AT commands.

* Series 2 modules are pin-compatible with Series 1 modules, making upgrade simple, however they are not designed to interoperate with each other.
